Lisbeth Sommer is the 8 October 2011 appointed as new Vice Chairman of FIC. Lisbeth Sommer is daily employed at the National Hospital of Denmark. She is a member of 3F LPSF, where she is active in the Equality Committee. Lisbeth Sommer has many years of experience in international work. She started in KAD, the Female Workers in Denmark and in the AIF, the Labour Movement's International Forum. For a couple of years she has been chairman of FIC's regional committee in eastern Denmark, where the focus is on projects to combat youth unemployment in Denmark, in Europe and in East Africa. In October 2010 she was helping to organize a day of action in Copenhagen on the high youth unemployment in Europe. She is active in solidarity work in Ghana. And she is actively involved in the leadership behind the Fair Trade Festival at Hammershus on Bornholm, which annually gathers 8 -10,000 people.
