Studietur til Berlin 2-5. september

Europas politiske og økonomiske motor Tyskland går til valgden 22. september. Valgets udfald har enorm betydning for Europa og Danmark, og derfor arrangerer FIC, AOF Danmark og Socialdemokraterne derfor en studierejse til Berlin for at blive klogere på valgets temaer.

Valget i Tyskland har enorm betydning

Når tyskerne den 22. september går til stemmeurnerne har valget af kansler ikke kun betydning for Tyskland. Det har også stor betydning for EU, hvor Angela Merkels hårde sparepolitik har sat kursen i de seneste kriseår. Og i Danmark er vi direkte afhængige af 500.000 jobs fra EU. AOF Danmark inviterede derfor europaminister Nicolai Wammen (S) og MEP Jens Rohde (V) til at diskutere, hvad det tyske valg egentlig betyder.

Decent Work for The European Youth

Young Europeans are under pressure s a result of the rising youth unemployment which makes it easier to exploit young people as cheap labor. Through the new project Decent Work for European Youth, FIC works with project partners from Italy, Ireland and Belgium to find a solution to how we can ensure decent working conditions for young people in Europe.  

Courses help young Kenyans in work

The youth constitute the largest part of the population in Kenya and young people are a great resource for the country's economic growth. Unfortunately, youth unemployment is a major problem in Kenya and its ability to reduce poverty depends on ensuring that young people get qualified for a decent job or being able to start and run their own business on acceptable terms.

On the first of January Denmark celebrated 40 years as a member of the EU. In this context AOF Denmark and FIC invited two experienced politicians, Mogens Lykketoft and Poul Nielson and more than 80 people for a look back upon the past, and a debate about visions and challenges for the future of the EU.

New FIC projects in 2013

A new calendar year within the NGO world usually means a lot of new projects - and 2013 is no exception. Right now we are well under way in writing applications on future projects. Global Seniors looked into the EU's crystal ball

Wednesday 9 January 2013 FIC's new network, Global Seniors, arranged to meet Minister of European Affairs Nicolai Wammen at the Foreign Ministry, where he and nearly 40 participants discussed the EU's past and future.
