Africa

FIC has supported the local NGOs in Africa for over 15 years, with primary focus on East Africa, including Tanzania and Kenya.

The mission of FIC's development work in East Africa is to fight poverty and improve living conditions by creating:

• Improved educational opportunities, employment conditions and employment opportunities for poor people in East Africa.
• Capacity building of civil society organizations that can contribute to develop and ensure more and better educational and employment opportunities and better employment conditions.

Currently we have three ongoing projects in Kenya and two in Tanzania, which include the improvement of educational opportunities, employment conditions and / or employment opportunities for vulnerable groups, eg. through capacity building of local organizations, education of children, youth and women as well as information about their rights.
